I Never Imagined My Life Would
Lead Me Here.
If someone had told me years ago that I would become a published author, create a website, and help develop mobile applications, I would have laughed.
My life didn’t begin with a plan to become an author or creator. At times, simply finding my way forward was my greatest challenge.
I've experienced addiction, recovery, loss, difficult decisions, and life lessons no classroom can teach. I've made mistakes, taken responsibility, and learned that change happens through choices—sometimes one difficult choice at a time.
Through it all, I learned people don't always need someone to tell them what they've done wrong. Sometimes they need help discovering what they can do differently.
That belief became the foundation for something I never expected to create.

I began writing Tools for Building a Better Life, a workbook designed to help people develop practical skills for understanding themselves, taking accountability, making decisions, building healthier relationships, and moving forward.
What started as an idea grew into a 48-tool workbook organized around seven areas of personal growth: Hope, Understanding, Awareness, Accountability and Change, Protecting Your Progress, Direction, and Strength.
For more than a decade, I've had the privilege of working with individuals involved in Drug Court, mental health services, and the criminal justice system. I've sat across from people who had lost hope, people who couldn't see their own potential, and people who genuinely wanted something different but didn't know where to begin.
While creating tools to help others build better lives, I was discovering another part of my own.
I found happiness in creating, excitement in learning, and discovered that even painful experiences could become the foundation for something meaningful.
Sometimes the next chapter begins with an idea you almost talked yourself out of pursuing.
At this stage of my life, I am a published author, a creator, and someone still learning.
More importantly, I still believe people can change, grow, and discover new possibilities.
You are never too old to learn something new, and your past does not have to determine what you create next.
Life does not come with a manual.
Most people learn about life through experience. Sometimes those experiences lead us in directions we did not expect or did not want.
Many people arrive carrying a lot of weight from the past. Mistakes, loss, difficult choices, and painful experiences can sometimes make it hard to imagine a different future.
The Tools For Building A Better Life workbook is designed to help you explore those ideas. Inside these pages you will find tools that can help you better understand yourself, your decisions, and the life you want to build.
Some tools help you understand yourself.
Some tools help you recognize patterns and triggers.
Some tools help protect the progress you are making.
Some tools help you begin building the life you want.
I’m proud to introduce...
Tools for Building a Better Life, The Companion app to the workbook, The Color of Life, and a growing collection of resources designed to help others move forward with clarity and purpose.
